Kenny Shepherd, Project Director for Building Division, grew up in Gilbert, Arizona. He completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona.

Kenny’s inspiration for construction started at a young age, working for his Dad’s residential land development company during the summers throughout his college career. A year after college, he joined Haydon and started as a Project Engineer. With over 13 years of experience in the industry, Kenny has worked his way up from Project Engineer all the way to Project Director for the Building Division.

Kenny oversees many projects and teams for the Building Division. He believes that in order to be a good business leader, one must look for opportunities to train people, bring them in, involve them in the company and invite them to be part of the growth and success. Partnering with others is what Kenny truly excels at. “The best part of what I do is mentoring others and growing people through that. Working with a project engineer and seeing them grow into a project manager after a couple years of investing in them is so rewarding for me.”

Kenny is honored to be an active member in both the Arizona Builders Alliance and the Young Builder’s Council.

Kenny’s love for the great outdoors permeates into his passion for building. Camping, hunting and fishing constantly inspires Kenny to make an impact on the community through his projects. Our projects leave a legacy that so many people can enjoy. He is also a dedicated family man, on any given weekend, you can find him hiking and enjoying time with his family.
