Haydon Celebrates Grand Opening of Navajo County’s Public Works Complex

December 9, 2014. Community members, County staff and dignitaries, and members of the design and construction team gathered to celebrate the grand opening of Navajo County’s new Public Works Complex located at 100 W. Public Works Drive in Holbrook, Arizona. A ribbon cutting ceremony was held followed by an open house.

The new facility includes 12,247 SF of administration space with a large conference room for emergency operations, 10,844 SF of maintenance space, two separate 2,000 SF storage buildings, a 3,500 SF vehicle wash building, fueling facilities, and well, water storage, and pump station facilities. The new complex is situated on an 11-acre site near the northwest intersection of Highways 77 and 377, just south of Holbrook. The site provides maneuvering space for oversized maintenance vehicles and separation of circulation for private small vehicles from the large service trucks. Parking for 30 privately owned vehicles was also included. The site is master-planned to provide space for future buildings and material lay-down areas.
