Haydon Building Corp Receives Prestigious 2010 AIA Arizona Contractor Award

AIA_2010Haydon Building Corp has received the 2010 AIA Arizona Contractor Award. This prestigious award is presented by the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and honors the contractor that best exemplifies the vital role of bringing good design to reality through innovation, technology, craftsmanship, teamwork and dedication.

From the time the company was founded by Gary Haydon in 1991, Haydon Building Corp has been working with owners and designers to build highly functional buildings with a focus on maintaining the integrity of the designer’s vision.  Over time, Haydon has become a leader in Alternative Project Delivery Method construction and has successfully completed 85 Design/Build and CM at Risk projects.

This extensive experience has allowed Haydon to refine our pre-construction services into a proactive collaboration between the owner, designer and builder.  The Haydon method of collaboration has been designed and refined by Vice-President and Director of Pre-Construction, Fritz Behrhorst, LEED AP.  During his 17 years with Haydon, Fritz has successfully completed over 70 Design/Build and CM at Risk projects.  Fritz has developed the cornerstone principle of Haydon’s commitment to ensuring design quality:  Work collaboratively with the Designer during pre-construction to provide the client with a facility that will meet their functional and budgetary requirements without compromising the designer’s vision.  Haydon’s steadfast adherence to this principle is the reason we have been so fortunate to work with a variety of outstanding architectural firms to deliver projects that combine signature design with functional value.
