Christian Green Director of Business Development

Meet Christian, Director of Business Development at Haydon. Christian’s passion for hiking and exploration started at a very young age. This passion was fostered by his father’s love of the outdoors. At just 12 years old the two of them hiked the Grand Canyon and shortly after, Christian decided that Arizona would someday be home. Christian worked in construction as a teenager through college and received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Market Research and Finance from Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas. A few days later, he loaded a U-Haul full of his belongings and finally moved to Arizona to begin his career.

Christian’s tenacity and drive are what separated him from the competition in the early years, “My first job interview out of college I refused to leave until they gave me the job,” said Green. “It took a few minutes, but I convinced them I wasn’t crazy, and the rest is history.” Blending his love for market research with his passion for learning about people, Christian grew from a marketing role to business development. Eventually taking over regional business development for two large international construction companies in the Southwest, Green is responsible for leading teams winning over $14B in construction.

When Christian isn’t leading his team and pursuing work, he enjoys time with his wife Jamie and their children while exploring the southwest technical canyoneering and traveling in their airstream.

Christian is extremely active in the community and is a member of the Greater Phoenix Economic Council, Westmarc, Valley Partnership, Corenet, NAIOP, Urban Land Institute, Society of American Military Engineers, International Economic Development Association, and Arizona Association for Economic Development.
