Meet Chance, Project Director for Heavy Civil, he was born in Missoula, Montana and was raised in Bitterroot Valley. He graduated from Montana State University with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Engineering Technology.

Chance began his construction industry career with a small residential construction firm doing house pads and sewer lines in the summer between his junior and senior year of high school. He moved to Bozeman for college and in his senior year he took an internship with Austin Bridge and Road, where he then became a project engineer. Chance is a registered professional engineer which has helped increase his knowledge in the everyday operations duties he fulfilled.

Chance then joined Haydon as a project engineer in 2012. He was responsible for coordinating technical activities on all his assigned projects, including plans, schedules and other tasks in conjunction with the project team. Chance’s wealth of knowledge and expertise was known and later promoted to project manager. His current duties as a project director includes administering the success of projects in terms of client satisfaction, project management, financial performance, safety performance, quality, and employee engagement and development. He has built over 12 years’ experience in irrigation/drainage/storm drain projects, roadway, site improvements and has been an integral part of the success of our heavy civil division.

Chance is an active member with the Young Constructors Forum part of the Associated General Contractors and is a registered professional engineer.

When Chance is not busy managing heavy civil projects, you can find him enjoying the beach waves with his family in Rocky Point, Mexico.
