ADOT US-95 San Luis Port of Entry Street Improvements

The Port of Entry in San Luis is the second-busiest Mexico border crossing in Arizona. This project relieves traffic congestion, enhances pedestrian safety, and improves access to businesses within the city’s downtown commercial area. Haydon was the CMAR for this project which included the reconstruction of Main Street (US-95), Archibald Street, Urtuzuastegui Street, D Street, and the San Luis Port of Entry’s customer/employee entrance and exit. Haydon’s scope of work included milling and replacing existing asphaltic concrete, constructing a raised median and new roundabouts, relocating the customer/employee entrance and exit, drainage improvements, retaining walls, sidewalks, bicycle lines, traffic signals, landscaping, decorative pavement, irrigation system, and signing.
